We exceeded our goal of 200 blankets, coats, hats, gloves, scarves
etc. to give the homeless a warm winter this holiday season. Not only that but we were able to minister to people who shared
their stories of being clean and sober.
We heard nonstop stories of people living drug and alcohol free lives because of
events like today. Sometimes, all people want and need is a helping hand.
And because of supporters like you with a servants heart.........SAL
was able to provide exactly that for hundreds of people!!!
*Kyllan Tower, who came to volunteer
literally took the coat off his back and gave it away when we got low, and only three minutes later a man walked up and that coat was a perfect fit. *Anthony Tibbs blessed us in so many ways, out the goodness of his heart he went and bought 6 bags of coats when he saw we were low on jackets. *Danielle Rhomes an amazing friend and sister who put in more hours then some do in a 8 hour shift at work, she was the first one there and the last one to leave. Thank you Danielle for all of your support, love and kindness.
Thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to make our vision a reality for us and those in need this holiday season. We love you and appreciate you, again THANK YOU.
At the end of the day we split the remaining items up for the evening
homeless drive by run and the other half we took by the Seattle Union Gospel Mission: Hope Place. Our hearts are still full from such a great day. Project WARM WINTER was incredible & a HUGE success. Lots of laughs, tears and wonderful stories to tell for years and years to come.
